Stephanie Dawson, Career Centre Coordinator is co-hosting an evening event with Dr. Rebecca Gagan–Assistant Teaching Professor, Department of English. This virtual event will discuss strategies for successfully navigating the transition to post-secondary which is an exciting period of learning and growth. It is a time in which students experience new challenges and difficulties caused by everything from moving away from home (or not!), to social expectations (how do I connect with my classmates and professors online?), to work pressures, to academic pressures. In order to be better prepared for the transition to post-secondary, it is important to the take time now to reflect on and to ask questions about how to prepare for the transition in order to thrive in your first-year of post-secondary and how to build positive coping skills
