Victoria Youth Empowerment Society – To provide youth with a drop-in, low barrier, and safe environment to gain volunteer hours. Youth simply need to show up and we will verify that they have completed 1 hour or more of volunteer hours and provide a reference for their resume. We will also be running free certifications on Pro-D days like Foodsafe and First Aid and CPR-C.  Our first Volunteer Opportunity is this Thursday Nov 21st from 330-530 in our Youth Connections Space at 533 Yates St. Youth will be writing letters and/or creating art to send to care homes in the Greater Victoria Area. If youth cannot make it downtown, they can write a letter or make some art on their own time and send us a physical copy at 533 Yates St and still receive 1 hour of volunteering.
